Kitchens designed around the way you live
A kitchen should be more than a collection of cupboards, appliances and worktops. It is where meals are prepared, friends gather, family life happens and, increasingly, where we relax, work and spend time together.
At Kitchens by Nathaniel Oliver, we believe the best kitchens are those that feel as though they have always been part of the home. Every project is individually designed and made to measure, with careful thought given to how you live, how you use the space and what you want your kitchen to become.
For more than 50 years, our family business has been creating kitchens in Oakham, combining experience and craftsmanship with a genuinely personal approach.
Designed for you, made by us
Every one of our kitchens begins with a conversation.
Gary Noble, one of our directors, creates the designs himself. Before putting ideas onto paper, he takes time to understand how you live and how your kitchen needs to work for you — from cooking and dining to family life and entertaining.
It is this conversation that turns a kitchen into a space that feels natural to use.
As a bespoke designer and manufacturer, every project is different. There are no fixed ranges that you simply choose from. Instead, the design can be developed around your home, your lifestyle and the details that matter to you.
From the overall layout through to storage, colours, worktops and finishing touches, the aim is to create a kitchen that works beautifully and feels uniquely yours.
Made to measure in our own workshop
Our kitchens are designed and made at our own factory in Oakham, where the business has been manufacturing for more than five decades.
Every cabinet is designed to measure, crafted by hand and assembled in our factory before it reaches your home. Having our own workshop means that the design and manufacturing process remain closely connected, allowing each kitchen to be made specifically for the space it is going into.
It also means you can see exactly where your kitchen is made.
Our factory and showroom are together on Braunston Road, giving visitors the opportunity to see our kitchens in a real showroom environment and understand more about the craftsmanship behind them.
Experience that makes a difference
More than 50 years of experience brings something valuable to a kitchen project: an understanding of what makes a kitchen work, both practically and aesthetically.
Our family business is now in its third generation, but the original family values of quality and service remain at the heart of what we do.
We believe that designing a kitchen should be an enjoyable process. That means listening carefully, sharing ideas and working closely with you from the first conversation through to the finished kitchen.
For each project, our team can coordinate the different elements involved in bringing the kitchen together, including installation, building work, electrics, plumbing and decorating. The result is a carefully managed process with one team overseeing the project from concept to completion.
A kitchen that works with your lifestyle
Today's kitchen is rarely just somewhere to cook.
For many homes, it is the place where everyone comes together at the end of the day. It might be used for preparing dinner, enjoying breakfast, entertaining friends, helping children with homework, catching up over a coffee or simply spending time together.
That is why we believe good kitchen design starts with understanding the people who will use it.
Thoughtful storage can make everyday routines easier. The right layout can make cooking more enjoyable. Open-plan spaces can bring cooking, dining and living together, while carefully considered details can help keep everything organised and clutter-free.
The result should not simply look beautiful. It should feel right when you are living in it.
Discover what is possible
Our showroom in Oakham is designed to give you ideas and inspire you, rather than simply show you a range of standard kitchens.
With ten large displays, you can explore different styles, colours, materials, worktops and appliances and see how they work together in a more realistic setting than a brochure or website can provide.
Whether you already know exactly what you want or are still deciding what style would suit your home, the showroom is a relaxed place to start exploring the possibilities.
There is plenty of parking directly outside, and our experienced team are always happy to have a conversation about your ideas.
There is no need to arrive with everything decided. Sometimes the best place to begin is simply with a coffee, a look around and a conversation about how you would like your new kitchen to work.
More than a kitchen
For more than five decades, Kitchens by Nathaniel Oliver has remained a local, family-run business, creating individually made kitchens from our Oakham workshop.
We combine the experience of three generations with a personal design service and the flexibility of genuine made-to-measure manufacturing.
Most importantly, we understand that choosing a new kitchen is about much more than choosing doors and worktops. It is about creating a space that becomes part of your home and works beautifully for the way you live.
