Choosing a new kitchen is a very personal decision, and sometimes the best way to start is simply to come and have a look.

Our showroom in Oakham gives you the chance to see our kitchens and materials for yourself, explore different ideas and talk through what you are considering with people who understand kitchen design.

There are ten large displays to explore, along with worktops, handles, appliances, colours and a range of clever features that you may not have thought about before. You can take your time, ask questions and see what catches your eye.

And because our workshop is alongside the showroom, you can also see where our kitchens are made.

A showroom for ideas, not a selection of fixed kitchens

You won't be choosing one of the kitchens on display and ordering it as it stands.

At Kitchens by Nathaniel Oliver, every kitchen is individually designed and made to measure, so the displays are there for a different reason: to help you explore what is possible.

You may see a particular handle you like, discover a storage idea that would work well in your home or realise that a colour combination you hadn't considered could be just right. Seeing an actual cabinet, opening a drawer or looking at a worktop in person can make a surprisingly big difference.

It is much easier to imagine how something might work in your own kitchen when you can see it, touch it and talk about it.

Take your time and ask questions

We want the showroom to be somewhere you feel comfortable looking around.

If something catches your attention, ask us about it. If you aren't sure how a particular feature works, we'll show you. And if you have an idea but aren't sure whether it would work in your space, that's something we can talk through too.

Gary Noble creates the kitchen designs himself, and his experience means that a visit can be about much more than looking at displays. He can talk through your ideas, explain the options and help you think about how your kitchen could work for the way you live.

The same applies to the rest of the team. We would much rather have a conversation about what you're looking for than expect you to walk around trying to work everything out for yourself.

You don't need to know exactly what you want before you come in, and there is no pressure to make decisions simply because you've visited.

Recently refreshed, with plenty to see

The showroom has recently been refreshed to make it an even more enjoyable place to explore kitchen design.

The ten large displays have been designed to show a variety of possibilities, rather than simply presenting a set of standard ranges. You can compare different styles and finishes and see how elements such as worktops, handles and appliances change the overall look and feel of a kitchen.

For us, a showroom should be somewhere that gives you ideas.

You might arrive with a very clear vision of your new kitchen. Equally, you might have little more than a feeling that your current kitchen isn't working as well as it could. Both are good reasons to come and look around.

See where your kitchen is made

Our showroom is on Braunston Road in Oakham, alongside our own workshop.

That means a visit can also give you an opportunity to see where our kitchens are designed, made and assembled.

Kitchens by Nathaniel Oliver has been creating kitchens in the area for more than 50 years. Every cabinet is designed to measure, crafted by hand and assembled on site before it reaches your home.

Being able to see the workshop provides a useful insight into what goes on behind the finished kitchen and the level of care involved in making something specifically for your home.

Easy to visit

The showroom is on the edge of Oakham and there is plenty of parking directly outside, so it is easy to pop in and have a look around.

You are welcome to visit during our normal opening hours without an appointment. If you would prefer to have time set aside to discuss your own project, you can also make an appointment.

We are open on Saturdays by prior appointment too, which can be useful if weekdays are difficult.

Whether you are just beginning to think about a new kitchen or already have some firm ideas, you're welcome to come and explore.

What happens when you visit?

There is no particular way you need to approach a showroom visit.

You can simply have a look around and take in the displays. Perhaps you'll find a style, colour or feature that immediately appeals to you. Or you might find yourself asking questions about storage, worktops, appliances or how something could be adapted for your own space.

That's exactly what the showroom is for.

Once you've started to develop some ideas, we can talk about how they might work in your home. Gary will take time to understand how you use your kitchen and what you need from it before creating a design specifically for you.

The showroom is the starting point. The finished kitchen will be yours.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?

No. You are welcome to visit the showroom during our normal opening hours without an appointment. If you would like to discuss a particular project in more detail, you can also arrange an appointment.

Is the showroom open on Saturdays?

Yes. Saturday visits are available by prior appointment.

Do I have to choose one of the kitchens on display?

No. The displays are there to provide ideas and inspiration rather than being fixed kitchens for you to choose from. Every Kitchens by Nathaniel Oliver kitchen is individually designed and made to measure.

What can I see in the showroom?

There are ten large kitchen displays, as well as different worktops, handles, appliances, colours, finishes and design features. The displays give you an opportunity to see how different elements work together in a real kitchen setting.

Can I ask questions when I visit?

Absolutely. We encourage visitors to ask questions and talk through anything they see in the showroom. Gary and the team are happy to explain features, discuss ideas and help you consider what might work in your own kitchen.

Can I see where the kitchens are made?

Yes. The showroom is alongside our own workshop on Braunston Road, where our kitchens are designed, made and assembled.

Is there parking at the showroom?

Yes. There is plenty of parking directly outside the showroom.
